Privacy Policy — ChoreQuest for Families

ChoreQuest is a family chore tracking app developed by Justin Bundrick / BunjiSolutions. Your privacy matters. Here's exactly what we do and don't do with your data.

Data We Collect

Data Stored On Your Device

• Family name, member names, and parent PIN
• Chore definitions and completion history
• Reward definitions and redemption history
• Points, streaks, and challenge progress
• Photos taken for chore verification (stored locally only)

Data Synced via iCloud

ChoreQuest uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to sync family data across your devices. This includes:

• Family name, member names, and family join code
• Chore assignments and completion records
• Reward definitions and redemption records
• Parent PIN (stored securely in your private iCloud container)

Apple manages iCloud security and encryption. We never see, access, or store your iCloud data on our servers. We have no servers.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Email addresses
• Phone numbers
• Location data
• Browsing history
• Advertising identifiers
• Analytics or crash reports sent to us
• Any data shared with third parties
• Financial or banking information

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

ChoreQuest is designed for family use, including children under 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• No account creation required. No email, no sign-up.
• No personal information collected from children. Names entered by parents stay on-device and in the family's private iCloud.
• No third-party tracking. Zero analytics SDKs, zero ad networks.
• No social features. No chat, no messaging, no public profiles.
• Parents control all data. Parents can delete the family and all associated data at any time.

Data Retention & Deletion

All data is stored on your device and in your iCloud account. To delete all data:

1. Delete the app from your device
2. Remove ChoreQuest data from iCloud (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage)

We retain nothing. When you delete it, it's gone.

Third-Party Services

Apple iCloud (CloudKit): Used for family sync across devices. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

No other third-party services are used. No analytics. No ads. No tracking.

In-App Purchases

ChoreQuest is a one-time purchase ($6.99) processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or have access to your payment information.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of ChoreQuest after changes constitutes acceptance.
