MealMap is an AI-powered meal planning app developed by Justin Bundrick / BunjiSolutions. Your privacy matters. Here's exactly what we do and don't do with your data.
All of this data is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud, your data syncs across your Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit — we never see or access your iCloud data.
When you use AI-powered features, your messages and meal data are sent to our server (hosted on Vercel) which forwards them to OpenRouter (an AI API provider) for processing. We send only the minimum data needed: your message text, relevant meal/preference context, and conversation history (limited to 6 recent messages). Photos sent via Snap to Meal are processed for ingredient identification only.
We do not store your conversations, photos, or personal data on our servers. Data is processed in transit and discarded. Please review OpenRouter's privacy policy for their data handling practices.
MealMap requests camera or photo library access only when you use Snap to Meal or recipe card scanning. Photos are used solely for AI analysis and are not stored on any server after processing.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.
MealMap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
